<p>PURPOSE:To enable the efficient adsorption and removal of dilute org. solvent from waste gas using an inexpensive activated carbon by raising and maintaining the adsorption temp. within the range from the specific temp. to standard b.p. of the solvent vapor. CONSTITUTION:The solvent vapor is absorbed and removed using activated carbon from the gas containing the org. solvent vapor having >=60 deg.C standard b.p. at concn. <=500ppm. The adsorption is conducted at temp. within 50 deg.C to standard b.p. of the solvent vapor. When adsorption temp. is raised like this, the diffusion velocity of the org. solvent in a micropores increases. Therefore, practical adsorption amount and adsorption velocity are improved, low concn. solvent in waste gas can be absorbed and removed efficiently.</p> |
