摘要 PURPOSE:To extend the cycle life of an aluminum secondary battery comprising a positive electrode, a negative electrode and an ion conductive electrolyte by constructing the positive electrode chiefly of a material which can store and release Al, constructing the negative electrode of a carbonaceous material which can store and release Al, and using an ion conductive electrolyte made from aluminum salt as an electrolytic solution. CONSTITUTION:A battery comprises a positive electrode 1, a negative electrode 2, a separator 3, a positive lead 4, a negative lead 5, a positive electrode external terminal 6 and a negative electrode can 7, and converts chemical energy generated therein into electric energy, which is then output to the outside. To fabricate the positive electrode in this constitution, e.g. vanadium pentoxide serving as a positive electrode active material, acetylene black serving as a conductive material, and polyvinilydene fluoride serving as a binding agent are used. To fabricate the negative electrode, e.g. natural graphite and polyvinilydene fluoride which serves as a binding agent are used, and e.g. ethylene carbonate and dimethyl carbonate are used in the preparation of an electrolyte. The possibility of a short circuit resulting from the deposition of dendritic electro-deposition Al is thus eliminated.
