摘要 The optical system is inserted in the path of the laser machining beam, for defining the beam cross-section parameters and comprises at least two separate optical elements (4,5) symmetrical to the optical axis (3). A parallel input beam with a given beam radius is transformed by the two optical elements into a parallel output beam of different radius. The optical characteristics of the optical elements are selected so that the ratio of the output beam radius to the input beam radius, multiplied by the constant intensity ratio between the input and output beam is equal to the ratio of the infinitesimal thickness of a circular segment of the input beam to the infinitesimal thickness of this segment after passage through the optical system. ADVANTAGE - Provides required beam transformation with homogeneous constant energy distribution over beam cross-section.
