Vehicle ABS regulation system - monitors rotation characteristics and braking mode for vehicle rear wheel to detect vehicle skidding
摘要
The anti-lock braking (ABS) regulation system adjusts the braking pressure acting on the vehicle wheels in dependence on the detected wheel retardation or acceleration or the wheel slip, using controlled 3-way valves. The skidding of the vehicle is indicated when at least one of the vehicle rear wheels is within a given retardation range, with braking pressure reduction over a defined period. Pref. the vehicle skidding is indicated using an AND-gate (11) receiving a signal from a counter when the pulses recorded between successive braking of the rear wheels reaches a given count value and a second signal when the wheel retardation is between defined limits. the AND-gate may receive corresp. signals for both braked wheel axles. ADVANTAGE - Allows detection of skidding by monitoring single rear wheel.
