<p>The invention is applicable to the protection from forgery of documents of the most diverse kinds, with particular reference to bank documents. It is carried out by creating on a field of each document of value a number of graphic elements and applying a hologram 3 to this field 1. The hologram is formed by a central body 4 and by fringes 5 which enclose within themselves sub-areas of the abovementioned field 1 that differ from each other by type of graphic element, colour, shape, dimensions, etc. Removal of the paper or plastic stock to which the hologram 3 is applied is virtually useless, because on the forged document of value there is no correspondence between the graphic elements or because the damage caused, in view of the large dimensions of the hologram 1, is easily recognizable. <IMAGE></p> |
