<p>This invention is an apparatus which mechanises a laborious phase of harvesting olives: spreading sheeting under the tree, recovering it when the olives have fallen and conveying the latter to the containers. The apparatus is easy to fit on any kind of motor vehicle and is suitable both for level and hilly land and for any type of plantation: with or without regular geometry. The various operations are carried out by two mobile motorised arms which support the sheet winders: the sheets are played out or retracted depending on the rotation direction of the winders. When the olives have fallen, retraction of the sheets leads to conveyance of the olives along the arms themselves; when the arms are then raised, the olives flow into the special containers provided on the vehicle. <IMAGE></p> |
