PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a trouble by predicting the generation of the trouble to a motor through the comparison between a current flowing to the motor and the specified current, and informing a host computer to that effect, thereby allowing a process against the trouble to be performed before the generation of the trouble. CONSTITUTION:At the document feeding starting time, a transistor Tr is turned on by an 'on' signal from a CPU 11 so as to rotate a document feeding belt motor DFBM. Simultaneously with the rotation start of the DFBM, comparison between a current flowing to the DFBM and the specified current value is started. That is, the voltage corresponding to the specified current value is set by resistances R2, R3, whereas the current value flowing to the DFBM is converted into voltage by a resistance R1. The value corresponding to the current value of the DFBM is then compared with the value corresponding to the specified current value, and the compared result is inputted into the CPU 11. When the current of the DFBM exceeds the specified current value, trouble prediction is informed. |
