PURPOSE:To accurately correct oblique running data by forming two straight lines from the angle of a linear template which is considered to be most suitable and rotating and shifting in parallel image information on paper sheet and the like fetched based on the intersection point and the angle. CONSTITUTION:Information on the inclination of the template corresponding to a voting area having the picture element obtaining the maximum number of votes and that of a position on the voting area of the picture element are secured. The straight line is obtained from the coordinates of the inclination and the position. The obtained straight line is considered to be an edge corresponding to a side as to information which is actually read. When the edge corresponding to the respective sides as to information which is actually read by a voting processing is obtained as the straight line, the intersection point of the straight line obtained by an intersection point calculation part 6 is obtained. The intersection point comes to be applicable to the left lower corner of a paper money which is read. Thus, the intersection point obtained by an image data rotation/parallel shift processing part 7 is rotated and corrected as a rotary center, and it is shifted in parallel so as to arrange it in a prescribed position. |
