COMPENSATOR FOR TRANSMISSION LINE

PURPOSE:To enhance reliability by enhancing the function for compensating for abnormality occurring on a transmission line. CONSTITUTION:A transmission line L is branched into two systems immediately before joint to a controller body 1 and thus branched systems are connected, respectively, with transmitting/receiving circuits 21, 22. One transmitting/ receiving circuit 21 is set for transmitting/receiving signals whereas the other transmitting/receiving circuit 22 is dedicated for receiving signals. Signals to be received or transmitted through the transmitting/receiving circuit 21 are taken in through the other transmitting/receiving circuit 22. Abnormal signal is then detected by comparing the reception results of the transmitting/receiving circuits 21, 22 and an abnormal point is specified. Operation of the transmitting/ receiving circuit 21 is then stopped and the setting of the other transmitting/ receiving circuit 22 is modified to transmit/receive signals thus sustaining transmission and receiving of signals.
