The method consists in making a casting in place of the flagstones or slabs, in juxtaposable compartmented moulds (1) which are placed on the floor or other surface which is to receive the flagstones or slabs. The moulds (1) constitute shuttering which is lost after setting the material such as concrete cast in their compartments (7). This method makes it possible to obtain flagstones or slab paving in varied patterns. <IMAGE>
