FINE-TONER-POWDER RECOVERING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: To provide a device for continuously recovering extremely fine bead- like toner from the water circulated in a production stage. CONSTITUTION: A circulating liquid washes a pellet cutter to form a mixture composed of the liquid and toner fine powder. The recovering device is arranged between the pellet cutter and a pellet discharge section. The recovering device has a housing 30 which forms a chamber 28 having two blocks. An inclined screen 32 is disposed in this chamber 28 to cover the one block of the chamber. The mixture composed of the toner fine powder and the liquid is discharged onto the screen 32. The liquid is circulated through the screen and the toner fine powder gathers onto the screen 32. The toner fine powder is flushed from the screen into another block by a back flow washing device 38. The mixture composed of the toner fine powder and the liquid is sent from another block of the chamber into a separator by a pump. The toner fine powder is separated from the liquid and is reutilized in an extruder.
