PURPOSE:To reduce the respective degrees of wear between a valve element and a valve seat by mitigate the impact which takes place when the valve element contacts the valve seat. CONSTITUTION:A delivery valve 27 of a fuel injection device comprises a valve seat base 31 having a valve seat 29, and a valve element 32. Within the valve element 32 there is provided a valve mechanism 34 which opens an internal fuel passage 36 formed in the valve element 32 by the pressure of a fuel pressure transferred from a fuel pump chamber and which closes the passage 36 by the nozzle-side pressure after the valve element 32 is seated in the valve seat 29. Between the valve element 32 and the valve seat base 31 there is disposed a coil spring 35 which reduces the speed when the valve element 32 seats on the valve seat 29. |
