<p>A first volume hologram (18) diffracts a portion (22) of the beam of light as a first beam and transmits the remaining portion (20) of the beam of light as a second beam. A second volume hologram (30) diffracts either the first or the second beam to a desired angle and transmits the remaining beam undiffracted.
