The invention relates to rolling rollers which drive and guide handling conveyors and, in particular, a roller which is leaktight with respect to splashes of products which may adhere to the rotating surfaces and give rise to their blocking. Such a rolling roller is mounted at the end 3, 4 of a carrier shaft on which a device 7 for axial retention of said roller is fastened. It is formed from two elements rendered integral in rotation by an O-ring 11, the first of these elements consisting of a hub 8 mounted free in rotation on the carrier shaft and halted in axial translation by the abovementioned retention device 7, it is entirely surmounted by the second element consisting of an envelope 12, in the form of a cap, closed at one of its ends 13 adjacent to the extreme part 5 of the shaft carrying the axial retention device 7 of the hub.
