The cleaning appts. has a feed unit in the form of driven roller pairs (2) in contact with the boards (1). Suspended on to upper and lower sides of the board, nozzle units (4) direct sprays of clearing fluid onto the surfaces. The board is located above a container (6) which collects the fluid (6) and transfers it to an outlet (8) for recirculation. The board is transferred out of the unit by a further pair of rollers. ADVANTAGE - Reduced rinsing water requirement. Intensive cleaning without washing away metalisation seeds in holes.
