PURPOSE:To improve production efficiency and to improve the quality of a product by detecting the acoustic waves generated when a blank material is plastically deformed and outputting a signal to an external apparatus after discriminating whether the working state is adequate or not. CONSTITUTION:This device has an AE sensor 13 which is mounted to a forging die 11 and detects the acoustic waves generated from the strain energy when the blank material W worked by the forging die 11 is plastically deformed, a discriminating means 18 which discriminates whether the blank material W is in the adequate working state or a product crack is generated in accordance with the signal from the AE sensor 13, and an output means 18 which emits an output signal to the external apparatus in accordance with the result of the discrimination of the discriminating means 18. Then, the crack of the product, if generated, can be automatically detected. |
