PURPOSE:To provide a dustproof mechanism for optical recording/reproducing system in which erroneous function of optical head, e.g. recording/reproducing error, can be prevented by keeping hermetic sealing in the housing even during recording/reproducing operation. CONSTITUTION:The optical recording/reproducing system comprises insertion port closing means 7, 8, 10, 11, 13 in which a shutter 12 closes a cartridge insertion port 2 through carrying operation of a disc tray 4 mounting a disc cartridge 6. Since the insertion port closing means close the cartridge insertion port by means of the shutter during carrying operation of the disc cartridge, hermetic sealing can be kept in the housing during recording/reproducing operation even if the cartridge insertion port is left open. |
