The threaded connector includes a nut and washer with a conical contact surface (2) between them. An easily deformable plastic indicator medium (5) is arranged in the gap (4) between the nut (1) and washer (3). The indicator medium can be replaced by a pressure measurement element which indicates overloading of the nut. Alternatively, a coloured film which ruptures under overload can be placed on the outside of the nut. USE/ADVANTAGE - For machinery, powerplants, airframes, spacecraft, etc. Threaded connection provides reliable indication of overload.
