A pressure regulator comprises a housing (11) internally divided by a diaphragm (12), the diaphragm (12) carrying a valve closure ball (18) engageable with a valve seat (17) forming part of an outlet (15) from the housing (11). The ball (18) is located within a ball carrier (23) which is attached to the diaphragm (12), the ball (18) being retained in the carrier (23) by a ball retainer (29) which comprises an annular disc (31) and engagement means (32) for receiving an end portion of the ball carrier (23), the ball (18) and the retainer (29) being capable of limited lateral movement with respect to the direction of movement of the diaphragm (12). <IMAGE> |
