PURPOSE:To manufacture a heat-shrinkable tubing by using the manufacturing facility of CV cable as it is by a method wherein the heat-shrinkable tube of double-layered structure is extruded on the CV cable utilizing the same as a core. CONSTITUTION:A fitting 32 is covered on the end of a CV cable core 10 and a heat-shrinkable tube 20 while a clearance between the core 10 and the tube 20 is sealed by an O-ring. The fitting 32 is connected to a conductor body 12 through a conductor 34 and the fitting 32 is connected to a pressurizing cylinder 30 through another conductor 36 to form an electric circuit for heating the tube. The tip end of a wedge 38 is forced between the tube 20 and the CV cable core 10 of a lower core and nitrogen gas, for example, is sent into the inner side of the tube 20 through a path 40 to provide the tube 20 with an internal pressure and expand it. The nitrogen gas 42 is forced to keep the external pressure of the tube 20 at a constant value. The tube 20 is expanded so as to be contacted with the inner surface of the pressurizing cylinder 30. Thereafter, the tube is cooled and the heat-shrinkable tube may be obtained. |
