WATER PURIFYING EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To enhance water purifying performance by constituting a water purifying equipment in a state wherein oxygen is sufficiently present in a microorganism treating tank and also in the environment in which aerobic bacteria for purifying water are easily propagated. CONSTITUTION:An ultraviolet-ray irradiation device 3 and a water tank 1, are successively provided to the downstream side of a water purifying tank 2 having the built-in biological filter medium 1. Further an air supply device 5, a refuse stripper 6 and a pump 7 for forcedly circulating the water of the water tank 1, are successively provided to the upstream side of the tank 2. The respective devices are communicated by a forcedly circulated path. The air supply device 5 is constituted of both a supply nozzle 5a having a shape smaller than the cross-sectional area of a forcedly circulated path 8 and an air inflow path 5b provided to the downstream side of the supply nozzle 5a. Thereby harmful ammonia and nitrous acid generated in the water tank 4 are efficiently oxidized to nitric acid free from toxicity for fishes. Further since foreign matters are removed by the refuse stripper 6, water quantity and air are stably supplied.
