An intravascular device such as an introducer sheath or a balloon catheter comprises an elongate member (10) having a proximal end (12) and a distal end (14) and a first lumen (22) and a second lumen (24). The first lumen (22) communicates with a first proximal opening (18) at the proximal end of the elongate member and with a distal opening (32) at the distal end of the elongate member. The second lumen terminates distally and communicates with the first lumen at a location (26) proximal of the distal opening and has a proximal opening (30) located proximally therefrom. One or more perfusion openings (88) may be located in the device to allow blood flow therethrough. The proximal opening of the second lumen may be located distally of the proximal opening of the first lumen. A balloon (154) may be located on a distal portion of the elongate shaft.
