Liquid cooling system for a combustion engine comprising a cooling medium pump and a thermostatic valve, and a primary circuit from which branches a secondary circuit. The thermostatic valve (3) has a bypass for the temperature-dependent diversion of the cooling medium flow from the combustion engine into the primary and secondary circuits, which independently of the position of the thermostatic valve continuously controls the preponderant amount (80 per cent) of the cooling fluid so that it flows through the primary circuit. ADVANTAGE - Cooling system with two circuits in which flow control is achieved without the use of additional pipes and valves.
