PURPOSE:To produce a heat resistant inorg. substance-carbon composite material having high bending strength at a low cost. CONSTITUTION:Starting material contg. 1-60vol.% powder of one or more kinds of heat resistant inorg. substances selected among alumina, silicon carbide, silicon dioxide, boron carbide, silicon nitride, boron nitride, silicon and boron and 15-35vol.% pitch binder is mixed, press-molded at 480-600 deg.C and fired under ordinary pressure. |
