发明名称 RUNNING CAR SENSING POSITION METHOD
摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance the preciseness in sensing running car position to serve for a navigation system. CONSTITUTION:The road network applicable to the current position is read from the road map data stored in a road map data memory means 4 and is displayed on a display 1. The displayed road network is broken down into a cut on by one for the specified distance and store as the road angle arrangement for each root. Meantime, the sensor data from a car speed sensor 2 and an azimuth sensor 3 are converted into corresponding coordinates. The running locus formed from the sensor data is broken down into a cut one by one, and polygonal arrangement of the running locus is determined. This running locus angle arrangement is compared with each road angle arrangement to serve calculating the correlation value of each root, and it is examined whether the correlation value is over a specified value A and whether its difference from the correlation value of another root is over a specified value B. Thereupon examinations about the presumetive navigation system, selection of the root, referencing the running position reconsidering the root, etc., are performed, and the result of position referencing is given on the display 1.
