PURPOSE:To increase the reliability of contact of a female terminal with a male terminal by separating a male housing and hood along the length so as to prevent deflection of a connector in rotating operation of a lever. CONSTITUTION:A female housing A is separated to small hoods A1-A3. and a male housing is separated to three small male housings B1. Each small housing B1 is inserted into the corresponding small hood A1, with a lever member C standing, to be stopped temporarily by engagement of a temporary stop protrusion 2 with a stopping part 6. Next, with all the small male housings and the small hoods temporarily stopped, the lever member C is rotated, so the female and male housings are engaged with each other smoothly by engagement of a driven pin 3 with a cam groove 18. Deflection of the male connector at a center part can thus be prevented.
