<p>PURPOSE:To form a desired final development shape by developing an air bag body to the passenger side again after development of the air bag body to the passenger side is impeded once to form the desired development shape. CONSTITUTION:A pair of straps 36 formed of a beltlike woven cloth are disposed in an air bag body 26. The one end part 36A of the strap 36 is secured to a side wall part 22B of a case 22, and an end part 36B of the strap 36 is secured to a peripheral edge part 26C of body cloth 26A and side cloth 26B of the air bag body 26. A folding part 36C being an elongation part is formed approximately at the central part of the strap 26. The folding part 36C is formed such that when a tensile force exceeding a given value is exerted on the strap 36, a sewing thread 37 is broken and the length of the strap 36 is elongated.</p> |
