PURPOSE: To hold linear performance even when the duty cycle of rectangular wave signals gets closer to zero or a maximum value (50%) by providing a rectangular wave signal generation circuit. CONSTITUTION: A rectangular wave generator 59 is provided with a comparator 49, the comparator 50, a monostable circuit 51, the monostable circuit 52, a logic OR gate 53 and a toggle flip-flop 54. The comparator 49 compares sawtooth-shaped signals with the signals VH-ΔV of a line 41. Similarly, the comparator 50 compares the sawtooth-shaped signals with the signals VL+ΔV of the line 42.ΔV is selected so as to make the duty cycle of rectangular waves be slightly smaller than 50%. For instance, when VL is equal to 1.0 bolt and VH is 2.5 bolt, in this case,ΔV is set so as to be equal to 1 bolt.
