<p>The apparatus comprises a device for passing flat products (2) between two rows of adjustable-flow rate water sprayers (3, 3'; 4, 4') arranged crosswise to the direction of the products in a plurality of adjacent modules which are spread out along part of the path followed by said products. Said apparatus includes, in at least one (M1, M2) module placed at the start thereof, devices (11, 11'; 12, 12'; 13) for projecting a steady stream of unatomized water onto both sides of the materials with a flow rate which is determined so that, when it is added to the maximum possible flow rate of sprayed water in said module, the greatest possible exchange of heat is achieved.</p> |
