PURPOSE:To obtain the subject lubricant used for reduction of friction between the inner surface of an injection sleeve and a plunger in casting of a metal such as Al by dispersing a mineral oil, fats arid oils and a surfactant in water and further adding a metal salt of a higher fatty acid thereto. CONSTITUTION:An objective lubricant obtained by dispersing (A) a mineral. oil, (B) one or more substances selected from (i) animal and vegetable fats and oils such as colza oil, soybean oil or cow tallow, (ii) a fatty acid such as coconut oil fatty acid, steric acid or palmitic acid and (iii) a fatty acid ester such as an ester between trimethylolpropane, neopentyl glycol, etc., and coconut oil fatty acid, etc., and (C) a surfactant in water and further adding (D) a salt between a metal such as Na, K, Mg, Li, Ca, Al or Zn and a higher fatty acid such as coconut oil fatty acid or an oleic acid thereto. The objective lubricant is excellent in lubricity, free from fire risk, low in adhesion around a machine and capable of ready removal even if the lubricant is made to adhere. |
