The invention relates to a process which allows bulb plants and/or Liliaceae to be propagated by micropropagation, using a succession of in-vitro multiplication cycles, where each of these cycles comprises three steps, this process being characterised in that the control of dormancy and/or bulb formation of the plants cultivated in vitro is carried out by modifying the ratio between energy emitted in the red and energy emitted in the far-red by the light source which provides illumination for said plants, and to bulbs and plantlets obtained by said process.
