BASE MATERIAL FOR SELF-ADHESIVE TAPE

PURPOSE:To obtain excellent cutting quality, water resistance and smoothness by constituting warp yarn of a multifilament of monofilaments composed of a single polyolefin resin layer and constituting weft yarn of an inner layer composed of a thermoplastic resin whose m.p. is a definite value or more and an outer layer composed of a polyolefin resin. CONSTITUTION:As a polyolefin resin used in warp yarn, there is an olefin homopolymer such as polyethylene or polypropylene or an ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer. The thermoplastic resin constituting the inner layer of weft yarn pref. has an m.p. of 150 deg.C or higher. When said m.p. is less than 150 deg.C, no pref. result is obtained because the deterioration of the thermoplastic resin is generated when the polyolefin resin is laminated to base cloth by extrusion coating. The polyolefin resin is laminated to at least one surface of the obtained base cloth by extrusion coating.
