<p>PURPOSE:To automatically search a head of nonvideo-recorded part of a partially video-recorded magnetic tape by providing an operating key, a control signal detecting circuit, a discriminating circuit and an operation control circuit. CONSTITUTION:When the device main body is set under a fast forward mode by operating an operating key 16 to be pressed, a control signal recorded with a video signal on the partially video-recorded magnetic tape is detected by the control signal detecting circuit, and its detecting signal is sent out to a discriminating circuit 13. The presence of the control signal recorded on the magnetic tape 11 is discriminated by the discriminating circuit 13 based on this detecting signal. Then, when no control signal is detected, since this part of the magnetic tape 11 is the nonvideo-recorded part, a nonvideo-recorded part detecting signal is sent out to the operation control circuit 15. The device main body is shifted from the fast forward mode to a stop mode by the operation control circuit 15 with this nonvideo-recorded part detecting signal. By this method, the head of the nonvideo-recorded part of the partially video- recorded magnetic tape is automatically searched.</p> |
