Shredded plastic materials are sepd. in a flotation basin filled with liq. of a set specific gravity, this being kept in continuous movement. The shredded materials, partly contaminated with other materials, are delivered with the liq. below the surface of the latter, and are kept continuously in movement at the surface. Those of lesser specific gravity than the liq. are driven to the end of the basin, where they are extracted. Those of greater specific gravity are extracted with the liq. below the surface. ADVANTAGE - Good sepn. without oil etc. floating on surface.
