摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the cathodic protection device with less protrusions on the surface of a steel material and capable of being brought into close contact with the surface of the backfilling steel material by setting a galvanic anode in a pit embedded apart from the steel material in soil and with its peripheral wall pierced with many holes and bringing the anode into electrical contact with the steel material close to the soil surface. CONSTITUTION:An underground continuous wall 5 is constructed, and then a steel material 2 constituting a storage tank is set in the cathodic protection device 1. A pit 3 is provided between the material 2 and the wall 5 close to the wall 5, and a galvanic anode 4 is inserted into the pit 3 along with a supporting wire 7. Backfilling sand B is roller-compacted between the material 2 and the wall 5 and in the pit 3, and the sand B outside the pit 3 is roller- pressed. Furthermore, a conductive wire 9 led in the upper end of the pit 3 is connected to the supporting wire 7 through a clamp 8 and set. By this constitution, a galvanic cell is formed between the material 2 and the anode 4, the corrosive current generated on the surface of the material 2 is compensated by the current flowing between the material and anode through the hole 3a of the pit 3, and the material 2 is protected from corrosion.
