The system for explosive fragmentation of organic products, particularly seeds, fruits and vegetable items, comprises at least one pressure chamber connectable, via a closure member, to an expansion chamber below it and supply connections for product and for pressurised gas to the chamber. The expansion chamber extends horizontally and contains a separator arranged such that the hard components such as stones, stems and remains of shells or husks which, due to inhomogeneous blasting action, have not been (fully) fragmented, are sepd. from the remainder, e.g. pulp etc., and can be removed separately from that remainder. The separator is pref. movable into the chamber and out of this chamber together with the non-blasted components. |
