<p>PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of reliability for a long period by setting a switching element and a conductive circuit, inserting an interlayer insulating film on them, and setting a shield electrode on it, and arranging electrodes opposite to each other, and inserting a liquid crystal layer between the electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A gate insulating film 9 is formed on a first glass substrate 1a, drain circuits 7, and a display electrode 8 are formed on the film 9, the interlayer insulating film is set on this film 9, and a chromium layer 9 is formed as the shield electrode 11 on the film 10, and this shield electrode 11 is omitted above the display electrode 8, and serves also as a light-shilding film, and the same voltage applied on the opposite electrode 4 is applied to this electrode 11 to execute display operation, thus permitting an electric field not to affect the liquid crystal substance between both electrodes, therefore its decomposition to be prevented, and reliability of the device to be enhanced.</p> |
