PURPOSE:To rapidly perform a maintenance operation and to reduce maintenance cost by providing a means for receiving a remote control signal and a means for executing processing corresponding to the maintenance operation for an image forming device corresponding to the reception of the remote control signal. CONSTITUTION:The copying machines A, A... of the same type set on user sides and the administration device 227 of a service station SS are made to be on-line by using a telephone line 230 and a reception means 223 receives the remote control signal SF given from an external device 227 through the communication line 230. A control means 201 detects the acting state of the device A as the processing corresponding to the maintenance operation for the device A corresponding to the reception of the signal SF. The detected acting state is transmitted by the transmission means 223 through the communication line 230. Thus, the maintenance operation is performed rapidly and the maintenance cost is reduced. |
