PURPOSE:To form a proper color image without sacrifice of total color balance and without requiring consideration of the residual amount of ink by providing a control means for performing fine regulation of Y(yellow), M(magenta), C(cyan) and K(black) information while assisting a color information converting means based on information concerning to the residual amount of ink. CONSTITUTION:A color regulating section 24 receives data concerning the residual amounts of YMCK inks from an ink information section 26 and processes information in YMCK format based on the residual amount of ink thus producing balanced YMCK values. A page developing section 23 develops an output data, e.g. a bit map data of one page for every YMCK, based on a data inputted from a command analysis section 21 or a color information converting section 22. An output section 25 performs printing on an output paper with YMCK inks based on the output data developed at the page developing section 23. |
