PURPOSE:To directly use the data of a tree structure chart data file in a document file by providing a tree structure chart conversion means and a document file - document data conversion means. CONSTITUTION:This device has a conversion table showing tree structure chart data and corresponding document file data, and provided with the tree structure chart conversion means 1-3 which converts data on a designated code in accordance with the conversion table among records in the tree structure chart data file 9-0, synthesizes it with remaining data and converts it into a tree structure chart, and the document file - document data conversion means 1-5 generating the text part of the document file in accordance with control information of the document file from the generated tree structure chart. Data obtained by the document file document - data conversion means 1-5 is outputted to the document file. Thus, the user can directly output the tree structure chart to the document file without consciously generating a work file so as to enhance the operation efficiency.
