A cursor positioning device (10) for a computer system (18) having a projection display monitor (12) including a screen (14). A light pointer (28) in the form of an elongated housing (34) is positioned with its tip (30) at a selected location on the screen. A light sensor (44) detects the raster scan trace and transmits a timed electrical signal to an interface (26), which determines the coordinates of the selected location for use by a computer (18) in controlling the position of the cursor on the projection screen (14). |
