Cutting tool is made up of a base support with a groove cut in one corner having three inner surfaces which support aninserted support piece to which is sintered a cutting edge. The support is made of sintered carbide or cermet. The base is made of sintered carbide or a sintered alloy. The groove passes through the whole thickness of the base. ADVANTAGE - Tool is economic to produce and the binding strength of support to base is improved.
