<p>A paging network (200) is disclosed which generates pages at a page source (202) storing a plurality of subscriber files (54) chosen from subscriber files stored at a plurality of switches (12, 14 and 16) located in the network. The destination to which a page is to be transmitted is determined by the network transmitting the page to the switch storing a number identical to the identification added to the page by the page source. A plurality of locations may be connected to the network with each location generating pages having a different type of information.</p> |
