PURPOSE:To improve the editing/display processing speed by storing an editing/ display subject text by an amount equal to one screen into a screen buffer after applying a correction process of a 2-byte code to the amount of the text. CONSTITUTION:A decentralized type text editor 11 containing a terminal part 12 and a host part 13 is provided together with a file 14, a display screen 15, and a keyboard 16. The part 12 includes a key input means 1, an input analysis means 2, a text editing means 3, a screen buffer updating means 4, a screen buffer 5, a work buffer 6, a text receiving means 7, and a screen display means 8. The part 13 includes a text transmitting means 9 and a text input means 10. Then a correction process of a 2-byte code is applied to an editing/display subject text in an amount equal to one screen. The corrected part of the text is stored in the buffer 5. Thus, the editing/display processing speed is improved. |
