PURPOSE:To attain the transmission/reception of an electronic mail between terminal equipments belonging to an electronic mail system with different communication form by converting an electronic mail from a terminal equipment into the communication form corresponding to the transmission destination and sending the converted mail. CONSTITUTION:When an electronic mail is sent from a telephone set 10a to a terminal equipment 13a, an electronic mail system 100 stores the electronic mail to a file 10b and informs the transmission to a reception means 122. The means 122 extracts the electronic mail from the file 10b and informs it to a conversion means 123. The means 123 converts the form of the electronic mail into a mail form corresponding to the electronic mail of the electronic mail system 130 and informs it to a transmission means 125. The transmission means 125 sends the electronic mail to a system 130. The system 130 stores the electronic mail to a file 13b. The terminal equipment 13a extracts the electronic mail addressed to itself stored in the file 13b and references it. The electronic mail addressed to the terminal equipment 10a from the terminal equipment 13a is processed similarly by the system 130, the file 13b, the means 124, 123, 121, the system 100 and the terminal equipment 10a. |
