The press-in closure for a drinks can or the like has a tear-off tab (5) set rotatable on the lid wall and provided with a closure element (9) which as the tab is turned from the tear position to a closing position above the opened pouring opening (12) is drawn along to engage over and cover or engage in and close the said opening. The tear-off tab is pref. made of a resilient material and has underneath a closure element (9) with a raised sealing part which under the spring tension of the tab engages into the opened pour opening after the tab is turned into the closing position. USE/ADVANTAGE - Press-in closure for drinks cans. The contents can be protected against insects and particles of dirt.
