PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution by using plural switch means while an electric charge is stored in a photoelectric conversion element so as to activate plural amplifiers thereby monitoring the stored charge quantity and operating sequentially the plural amplifiers when a signal corresponding to the stored charge is read. CONSTITUTION:While an electric charge is stored in a photoelectric conversion element, plural switch means 2-1-2-n, 7-1-7-n operate plural amplifiers 6-1-6-n to monitor the stored charge and when a signal corresponding to the charge stored in the photoelectric conversion element is read, the plural switch means 2-1-2-n, 7-1-7-n operate plural amplifiers 6-1-6-n sequentially. Thus, a monitor means monitoring the stored charge and a signal read means are used in common to eliminate the need for a special sensor picture element for monitoring. Thus, the constitution of the sensor is simplified and the monitor and readout circuit constitution is simplified. |
