<p>PURPOSE:To enable convenient operation when plural areas which are converted into a standard TV signal and displayed can be selected by displaying which area of an original high definition TV image is converted into the standard TV signal. CONSTITUTION:An MUSE/NTSC converter 1 as a TV(television) signal converting device is equipped with a low-pass filter 3, an A/D converting circuit 4, a synchronizing signal generating circuit 5, an MUSE/NTSC conversion part 6, an area display signal generating circuit 7, and a signal composing circuit 8. Then when a specific area which is cut from a high definition TV image is converted into the standard TV image and projected, which part of the image the specific projected area is displayed clearly. Consequently, when several areas can be selected and projected, a viewer performs operation conveniently.</p> |
