PURPOSE:To enable the stoppage and maibtenance of a rotor surely by cogging torque by seeing that the cogging torque generated by the combination of the magnetic pole of a stator and the slot of a stator is about 20%-50% of the maximum generation torque of a brushles DC motor. CONSTITUTION:A stator has a plurality of slots 1a, and stator winding in multiphase shape is provided inside each slot 1a. To this stator 1, using permanent magnets 3, 3A, 3B and 3C which constitute a plurality of magnetic poles, it is constituted such that this rotates intermittently at every specified angle. And the cogging torque generated by the combination of the magnetic pole of the rotor 2 and the slot 1a of said stator 1 is so set as to be about 20%-60% of the maximum generation torque that a synchronous brushless DC motor has. Hereby, the rotation becomes sure, and the stop after rotation becomes sure, and intermittent rotation extremely high in reliability can be obtained. |
