摘要 A plasma display apparatus and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent address low discharge by reducing a time up to the end of an address period after a reset period according to operation of grouped scan electrodes. Plural first electrodes are divided into at least two groups(G1,G2). Cells of a first group formed at first electrodes of a first group are initialized during a first interval. At this time, a first signal which is gradually increased from a first voltage to a second voltage and is gradually decreased to third voltage, is applied to the first electrode of the first group and a second signal, which is gradually increased to a fourth voltage and decreased to a fifth voltage, is applied to the first electrode of the second group. Light emitting cells and non-light emitting cells are selected from the cells of the first group during a second interval. The first light emitting cells in a light emitting cell state during the second interval are sustain-discharged during a third interval. The cells of a second group formed on first electrodes of a second group are initialized during a fourth interval. Light emitting cells and non-light emitting cells are selected from the cells of the second group during a fifth interval. The second light emitting cells in a light emitting cell state during the fifth interval are sustain-discharged during a sixth interval.
